The Beginning
of Self-Expressions...
My name is Kim Krohn-Rathje and I started dance classes at three, but was dancing long before that per my family's memories!! Dancing has been a passion of mine and at a very young age I knew teaching dance was my ultimate DREAM. Earning a degree in dance education from CMU has allowed provided an avenue to share my passion of teaching in many different styles and genres of dance and gymnastics.
Opening and operating my very own dance studio was my childhood dream that came true when I lived in North Carolina. In NC I had the privilege to love and teach many students over the six years that I had Self-Expressions Studio of Dance. I still today enjoy keeping in touch with many of them because they will forever be in my heart!
It was never expected that opening another studio in Michigan would ever happen, but I am humbled by this opportunity that has presented itself. I couldn't be more thrilled to share a love of dance/gymnastics right here in my home community! Teaching is my love language and dancing allows me to incorporate both of these joys in the classroom and at the studio!
